Big Announcement By BJP Government, 10 Percent Reservation for Unreserved Economically Backward Classes

Once again in the election year in India, the issue of reservation has been heated. A close source from the Modi government told the BBC that the central government has decided to give ten percent reservation to the economically weaker sections in government jobs. However, there has been no statement from the government about this so far. But media reports are being told that the cabinet has approved the reservation decision.

The news agency PTI also quoted sources saying that the cabinet has approved 10 percent reservation for the economically backward category. It has also been mentioned that for the poor class, the quota reservation will be different from 50 percent. There is a total of 49.5 percent reservation in the country. 27 percent of the Other Backward Classes, 15 percent for Scheduled Castes and 7.5 percent for Scheduled Tribes. It is being said that the proposed 10 percent reservation to the poor classes will be different from the current 50 percent limit. After this approval, government jobs for economically weaker sections will have 10 percent quota separately. However, the way to get the reservation for the upper castes is not so easy and the Modi government has to amend the constitution for this.

What Next:
The government has to amend Article 15 and 16 of the Constitution for this. That is, the amendment bill will require the approval of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. Upon revision of the constitution, economically weaker sections will also get reservations in government jobs. This decision of the Modi Government is considered important in this regard because Lok Sabha elections are to be held only after coming months and Narendra Modi will be present in the public court for a second term. In the recently held three Hindi-speaking states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the Congress defeated BJP.

Who Said What?
Prakash Ambedkar said, “As far as Supreme Court is concerned, it has said that reservations can be given on the basis of social and educational backwardness and reservations cannot be given on economic basis, so that will not last forever in the Supreme Court. Because the government knows that for the next five years she is not going to come, so she is creating difficulties for those who are going to come. From the Supreme Court and the common man came face-to-face. ” Union Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla said that this decision was necessary and it has nothing to do with its politics. He said, “BJP has long demanded this and today the Modi Government has taken a historic decision under the concept of all-inclusive development. People of the general category have got their right today.” Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh tweeted, “For the economically backward castes, the Modi government has given up the welcome election of 10% reservation, many such decisions have been made from time to time. But, more than 50% reservation has been banned by the court. Is this decision also a junket to prevent the court? “

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions on the motive of the government but said that the government should extend Parliament session ahead. Kejriwal tweeted, “The government should extend the parliament session and immediately bring the Constitution amendment, otherwise it will prove to be an election stunt.” Rajya Sabha Saansad KTS Tulsi called the Modi government’s decision to make ‘people fool’ people. They feared that if the government brought the Amendment Bill to Parliament, would it be possible? BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said, “There are many poor people in the upper caste society too, they have the right to the resources of this country and the Prime Minister has done the job of giving them their right.” Chirag Paswan, leader of Lok Janshakti Party, said, “There is only one caste of poverty, we were demanding 15 percent, but 10 percent were given.” We welcome this decision. ” Former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha said, “There is nothing other than financially weak people who have got 10 percent reservation. There are many legal complications and there is no time to pass the parliament. The government has been completely exposed.”
